INTRODUCTION:

Right at the beginning of the pandemic, International Market Centers, LLC had the vision to create a more online shopping experience for its buyers and sellers in the form of a new entity called “Juniper Commerce.”

IMC was formed in 2011 through a partnership between funds affiliated with Bain Capital and Oaktree Capital Management, consolidating showroom spaces in High Point, North Carolina, and Las Vegas, Nevada. By 2018, IMC merged with AmericasMart Atlanta, creating the world’s largest owner and operator of premier showroom space for furniture, gift, home décor, rug, and apparel industries. This merger expanded its footprint to over 20 million square feet across Atlanta, High Point, Las Vegas, and later New York City.

In January 2020, IMC introduced its IMC_Digital Innovations division under the brand name Juniper. This platform offered a suite of B2B digital sales and marketing solutions, including a wholesale digital marketplace, SaaS enablement tools, branded e-commerce websites, and showroom enhancement technology. The goal was to seamlessly connect physical and digital commerce channels, responding to the growing demand for online wholesale solutions amid the global shift to digital platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When they needed to build out their operations on HubSpot, starting with a website, BeginBound came highly referred to them as their partner of choice.

THE PARTNERSHIP:

Juniper created a budget for a full redesign process that would bring their new brand to life and help launch their new SAAS platform. BeginBound was instrumental in collaborating and strategizing on the best way to put things together and get everything launching in early 2021. They needed to take their new brand guidelines and create a full website experience on the HubSpot Platform. Once the website was complete, the new sales teams, marketing teams and customer success teams needed their own processes, customizations and operations built out to work seamlessly with the website. Moving away from Salesforce, HubSpot was the ideal platform because it provided enterprise level tools that housed solutions for everyone to work seamlessly together on one platform database. BeginBound remained a strategic and vital vendor partner to this company from their very beginning for several years following.

WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

  • Splash Page Launch: Knowing from experience that a fully operational website design and build would take months, Juniper and BeginBound worked quickly to design, approve, build and launch a temporary splash page in a matter of weeks to capture early interest and traffic in HubSpot CRM.
  • Content and Structure: Early conversations involved gathering content documents and clarifying requirements for website pages. The focus was on both email/landing page content and core website content.
  • Redesign Collaboration: The redesign involved collaboration between Begin Bound, Juniper's marketing teams, and potentially other stakeholders. This included discussions around page design, functionality, and content organization.
  • Specific Page Updates: There were specific discussions and updates made to pages such as the client support page and the blog. Improvements included linking to resources, updating designs to match the JuniperMarket site, and adding dynamic content features like a product photo carousel.
  • Support Page Improvements: Efforts were made to improve the client support page, including adding a link to the Juniper Resource Center and addressing how support requests were being handled on other forms. The goal was to separate support items from sales items to improve user experience.
  • Blog Enhancements: The blog redesign was a significant part of the project, including updates to the blog listing and individual post pages. Features like a product carousel, changes to content display, and updates to the metadata were implemented.

DIGITAL MARKETING

  • Landing Page and Form Management: Our team has diligently handled numerous landing page and form creation/updates as requested by ANDMORE. We have ensured timely delivery and provided all necessary links and documentation. We also confirm requests, look for clarity and assist with implementation feedback.
  • Email Marketing Support: We have actively worked on creating and managing various sponsored emails for ANDMORE. This includes drafting, adapting, and submitting emails to page proof, as well as addressing any necessary adjustments. We assist in email optimization and ensure timely email sends as requested.
  • Data Management and Automation: Our team has addressed spam submissions in multiple HubSpot portals and ensured necessary workflows are activated as per client requests. We assist with data visibility in dashboards. We also create lists to track important submissions.
  • HubSpot Integration: Begin Bound, as HubSpot experts, played a role in projects ranging from the website redesign to landing pages and reporting within the HubSpot platform. This indicates a focus on leveraging HubSpot for marketing automation and analytics.

 

SALES ENABLEMENT & OPERATIONS

Begin Bound LLC played a critical role in building and supporting Juniper’s sales operations within HubSpot Deals. Our work with Teddy and John included:
    • Setting up and managing HubSpot Sales billing issues.
    • Implementing lead alert and assignment systems to ensure timely follow-up.
    • Creating smart lists to filter test submissions from actual leads.
    • Providing training and support for the sales team on using HubSpot, following playbooks and troubleshooting user questions as they arise.
    • Building out product lists in HubSpot and creating test deals for integration testing with PandaDocs.
    • Integration with Pandadocs so that HubSpot Deal Information would automatically transfer to a pre-built PandaDoc contract with tokens to fill in customer information automatically and make the sales process more efficient in the contract stage.
    • Segregating lead generation forms for potential sellers on JuniperMarket and providing HTML/JS embed code.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ENABLEMENT & OPERATIONS

  • We also assisted Juniper’s Customer Success team, led by Marissa, in leveraging HubSpot to improve customer relationships and retention. Our support involved:
    • Outlining necessary data points and custom properties for effective Customer Success management.
    • Developing Ticket stages and pipelines for onboarding and service requests.
    • Helping integrate Email and other data sources into HubSpot to track Customer Success outcomes.
    • Coordinating and facilitating meetings to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
    • Addressing data cleanup and establishing processes for effective data management across tickets and channels.
    • Enabling chatbots to answer common user questions and route tickets to the right CS representative once a query escalated into a ticket.

PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS AND SPECIAL PROJECTS IN YEARS 2 AND 3

  • Juniper Preferred Partner Program: BeginBound assisted with the custom design implementation of a preferred partner look and feel (Think: Black Card AMEX) to be used on the website, email marketing initiatives and lead subscription tracking.
  • Juniper Software Expansion: As the product matured and new funding came in, Juniper’s aspirations grew with several current and future products being launched. Integrating these brand enhancements and additions required careful placement and rollout for the full stack ecosystem in Juniper’s HubSpot Portal.

GENERAL RETAINER SUPPORT 3+ YEARS

  • Efficient Retainer Management: We have consistently provided detailed timesheets and invoices for pre-paid retainer hours, ensuring transparency and accountability. This has allowed ANDMORE to effectively manage their budget and resource allocation. We also roll over hours as needed.
  • Meeting and Communication Facilitation: We have actively participated in client meetings and provided regular updates on tasks. We have also provided documentation and have acted as the communication lead for key projects.
  • Problem Solving and Support: Our team is quick to address issues, such as data discrepancies in dashboards and questions regarding landing page updates. We provide support for troubleshooting Hubspot and website issues.
