Begin Bound LLC was founded by Jesse D. Pennington in 2015 in Westlake, Ohio. The company was created in response to the rise of the “Inbound Marketing” revolution pioneered by HubSpot, which was reshaping how businesses attracted, engaged, and delighted customers online.

Since its founding, Begin Bound LLC has evolved into a full-service digital solutions provider, with expertise across:

  • HubSpot implementation & CRM management
  • Squarespace website strategy, design, and development
  • Shopify eCommerce store setup and optimization
  • AI strategy & implementation for modern business workflows
  • Email Campains and Design
  • Graphic Design for online and print materials.

By combining inbound methodology with today’s most powerful platforms, Begin Bound LLC helps organizations build sustainable growth engines through smart digital systems.


 

About the Founder: Jesse Pennington

Jesse Pennington is an entrepreneur, marketer, and technologist with a strong background in helping businesses adapt to the rapidly changing digital landscape.

After completing grad school with a Masters of Communication in late 2010, Pennington joined a small marketing agency in Avon, Ohio, called Kuno Creative as a Front-End Developer. Through his experience with Kuno, he developed a growing appreciation and knowledge for how inbound marketing, as well as the digital landscape, was changing how people did business online.

After years in the marketing agency world and recognizing early on the potential of inbound marketing, Pennington launched Begin Bound LLC to help small and mid-sized businesses embrace the future of online engagement.

His original focus in the early years was simply to be a resource to any HubSpot Customer or Agency particually in the area of Website Design and Development. At the time, HubSpot's fledgling ecosystem was building out more and more tools to host a modern website, but few were aware. The Marketing Agency landscape was also very competitive, especially within local HubSpot circles, so Pennington saw an opportunity to NOT be a HubSpot Partner in the early years in order to be viewed as a vendor/asset, rather than as a competitior. Through his business streatgy, he was able to string together several projects and retainer clients alike that fueld the early growth of Begin Bound LLC.

Over time as the industry evolved and the HubSpot ecosystem changed, Pennington realized it was time to become an official HubSpot Partner, opening the door for new partnerships and opportunities in the HubSpot ecosystem. Begin Bound LLC went all in on HubSpot in 2020 during the pandemic and saw more growth in just a couple short years than the previous 5 years combined.

Today, as A.I. and blockchain technologies fundamentally alter the digital marketing and sales landcscape yet again, Pennington's recent website refresh and company repositioning in 2025 is a future-focused strategy keying in on the following principals and goals:

  • Professional Focus: Website Design & Development, Digital marketing, CRM systems, and integrations between systems that include both Search and A.I. Search.
  • Vision: Accepting where technology is going to be, not where it has always been.
  • Accommodations: To make advanced marketing and automation tools accessible to organizations of all sizes, with fees and structures to accomodate both.
  • Approach: Blending pragmatism, creativity, curiosity, and technology to deliver measurable business results.

Through Begin Bound LLC, Pennington has overseen the company’s growth from a niche inbound consultancy into a trusted partner for businesses seeking HubSpot expertise, eCommerce solutions, and AI-driven strategies.
