Promoting your content through Email marketing is a huge piece of every digital marketing strategy. However, making that content look good can be a challenge. However, there is good news for Hubspot marketing users! Hubspot just released some updates in their Beta program that should make styling RSS Feeds and Blog Feeds much easier in your Emails.

In the past, putting a blog or RSS Feed in an Email Template was accomplished by adding a simple module. It made adding one easy and it worked great, terms of functionality. However, if you wanted to change colors of the titles or text, manipulate the order of content or change fonts, etc, it was nearly impossible without some real Jinja and HTML hacking at RAW code level. It also required the help of developer if anything went wrong or needed further customization.

But all that is changed now!

Enter the new Blog and RSS “Tags,” which function much like other smart tags such as adding someone’s Name, Company Name, etc, to an Email through your contact database. You just add the tags where you want the different elements to appear, and it makes customizing RSS Feeds much more user-friendly. You can also use the editing options to change fonts, colors, etc, as well.

It should be noted that Email Design is notoriously rigid, and designs may not work in every browser. So always make sure you are using Hubspot’s built in tools to test every Email design.

But ultimately, this will allow you to more easily manipulate the look of your blog and RSS feeds in Hubspot Email Templates. However, it should be noted that this is still in Beta and Hubspot is currently gathering feedback to continue to improve it. If you would like to learn more or leave feedback on your experience with the awesome new update, check out Hubspot’s post on their Beta site.
